Panagiota Kiortsi kam im Rahmen ihrer Dissertation als Gastwissenschaftlerin von November bis Dezember 2015 an das medienrechtliche Institut der Westfälischen-Wilhelms-Universität. Nach ihrem erfolgreichen Studium an der Universität in Athen mit Schwerpunkten im Bereich des Public Law, spezialisierte sie sich – insbesondere im Zuge ihrer Dissertation zum Thema „Public display of personal data: the case of cctv image capture devices compared to facebook and other social networking sites“ – im Bereich des Verfassungs- und IT-Rechts. Während ihres Aufenthaltes bereicherte sie das Institut unter anderem durch einen lehrreichen Vortrag im Rahmen einer Vortragsveranstaltung zum Datenschutz und Informationsrecht.
