One of the absolute highlights of the first semester was the guest lecture series, especially Professor Westkamp’s sessions on the historical foundations and international structures of copyright law. His comparative approach, particularly the distinction between the civil law authors right tradition and common law copyright, helped me understand why legal harmonisation in Europe is so complex.
