The Institute for Information, Telecommunications and Media Law (ITM), Department of Civil Law, at the University of Münster is seeking to fill the position of

Research assistant (E 13 TV-L)

 

to be filled. We are offering a part-time position (50%) for a limited period of 3 years. The full-time teaching commitment is 4 SWS.

 

Your tasks:

The job profile includes

  • Collaboration in research and teaching, consisting in particular of:
  • The preparation of lectures (in particular on information and media law), the supervision of seminars and publications on the Institute’s main research areas.
  • Support of the chair holder in projects of the chair, including the “Art Law Clinic Münster” project
  • Organization of events and international cooperation

The position is linked to the implementation of a doctoral project.

Our expectations:

  • First state examination in law, preferably with distinction
  • Ability to work in a team and organizational talent –
  • Knowledge of copyright law is helpful
  • Interest in the Institute’s fields of research, in particular intellectual property and EU data law
  • A good command of written and spoken English is an advantage.
  • Openness towards an interdisciplinary and international way of working
  • Desire for proactive engagement and the creative design of project processes
