From the winter semester 2024/2025, the ITM will offer a new, English-language supplementary course called Law of the Digital Economy, which will replace the venerable ITM supplementary course. Law of the Digital Economy provides participants with an in-depth understanding of the legal framework of the digital, data-based economy and prepares them for the associated legal challenges. In the lectures European IP and Media Law and European Data Law, international experts from Lisbon, London, Uzbekistan and Georgia will present the topics of contract drafting, platform regulation, data protection, cyber security, data use and artificial intelligence, which are particularly relevant for advising companies in the digital economy, in a practical way. All lectures are streamed and recorded to enable remote participation and participation “on the job”; the end-of-semester exams take place online. The event is free of charge and is aimed at interested students and practitioners from all over the world. Successful participation is attested by a certificate.
