The ITM welcomes Professor Dr. Guido Westkamp, LL.M. (London), Professor of Intellectual Property and Comparative Law at the University of London, as a guest researcher at the ITM for the next 6 months until April 2021. He is engaged in various research questions in intellectual property law. His focus is on copyright law. He is considered a particular expert in the field of sampling. This will remain the focus of his research in the coming months.
Professor Dr. Westkamp has been known and associated with the ITM for a long time: He did his doctorate on the protection of databases and information collections in British and German law under Prof. Dr. Thomas Hoeren and returned to the ITM again and again for various lectures and talks to the delight of all involved.
The ITM is looking forward to the professional exchange and the time spent together at the institute in the coming months.
