On September 8 and 9, 2026, Prof. Dr. Thomas Hoeren participated in a seminar on current intellectual property issues for judges in Priekuļi, Latvia. Through his presentations, he brought the ITM’s research perspective into the discussion on judicial practice. A key focus of his presentations was the copyright assessment of training artificial intelligence with protected works.
The event provided an opportunity for in-depth discussions and one-on-one conversations. The organizers expressly thanked Hoeren for his expert insights, which were greatly appreciated by the participants. Both sides welcomed the opportunity to continue the dialogue in the future.
