Best of ITM: A Discussion of Dissertations
Which academic theses still hold up years later? The “Best of ITM” seminar at the University of Münster addressed this question. Students examined selected dissertations from the ITM and reevaluated their arguments in light of new technical developments and legal issues. Interviews with the authors complemented the discussion.
The range of topics spanned AI liability, data protection, text and data mining, digital estates, sports broadcasting rights, and influencer marketing. The focus was on independent evaluation: Where have earlier approaches proven effective, and where do new developments require different answers?
