The new online certificate course “Law of the Digital Economy”, an English-language, international course led by Professor Dr. Thomas Hoeren (ITM, University of Münster), will start in October 2024. It is aimed at students and practitioners who want to gain an in-depth understanding of the legal framework of the digital economy and includes topics such as IP, data (protection), platform regulation, cyber security and AI law. The structure of the one-year course comprises two semester-long lectures on European IP and Media Law and European Data Law, supplemented by an open-book exam (end of winter term) and a legal essay (end of summer term). Successful completion is rewarded with an official certificate. The lectures are held online via Zoom and made available on YouTube to enable flexible participation. Participation is free of charge.
