To all ITM alumni, students and legal tech enthusiasts!

What an inspiring start to November! On November 1, 2025, the traditional alumni meeting of the ITM Institute took place in Münster – a day full of professional depth, personal exchange and exciting glimpses into the future of law.

Under the direction of Prof. Dr. Thomas Hoeren, the focus was on current hot topics at the interface of law and technology:

Some highlights of the meeting:

  • Law of the Digital Economy (LDE): We received exciting updates on the new international certificate course, which hit a nerve with over 400 participants in the first round. One participant gave an impressive account of how the course provides concrete answers to the legal challenges of the digital economy.
  • Art Law Clinic: Nora Fuchs gave an excellent report on the Art Law Clinic, which offers students and artists legal guidance. An important focus is on supporting artists in setting up a business, copyright law and international cooperation.
  • AI in practice: alumni reported first-hand on how they are driving the digital transformation in their industries – from the implementation of AI chatbots in HR and the digitalization of processes in the energy industry, to the use of AI tools in marketing (“AI SEO”) and the associated copyright issues in the advertising industry.

A big thank you to everyone who made this day such a valuable exchange! It confirms once again that the ITM network is more alive than ever and is driving the discussion on the law of the digital future.

We are already looking forward to the next time on November 7, 2026!
