Prof. Dr. Sergi Jorbenadze as a guest in Münster
We are delighted to welcome Prof. Dr. Sergi Jorbenadze to Münster until the end of September. He is Associate Professor of Civil Law at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) in Georgia. Prof. Jorbenadze holds a doctorate in law (TSU) and two master’s degrees, including an LL.M. from the University of Bremen. With a DAAD scholarship in Münster, he will draft a guideline for art law in Georgia and discuss with Professor Hoeren the possibilities for closer cooperation between Tbilisi and Münster.
He is the author of over 50 academic publications, including six books on topics such as advertising law, media law, social media law, contract law and insolvency law. He has also written a commentary on the Georgian Civil Code. His works are published in Georgian, German, English, Russian, Romanian and French. In Germany, he has published with C.H. Beck, among others.
Prof. Jorbenadze has been teaching since 2013 and has been admitted to the bar for over ten years. He is a managing partner of JG Counselors, an arbitrator at the Dispute Resolution Center (DRC) and a licensed insolvency administrator in Georgia since 2021. He is also an expert of the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the Council of Europe.
