New podcast episode with Dr. Andrea Lensing-Kramer on the topic of mentoring

The 15th episode of the interview podcast Juristinnen erzählen der Forschungsstelle für Gewerblichen Rechtsschutz is now online.

Dr. Andrea Lensing-Kramer is our guest in this episode. Until recently, Andrea was a lawyer and partner in the IP department at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. She was one of the first female lawyers to be made partner at one of Freshfields’ predecessor law firms in the 1990s. Today, Andrea’s main focus is on mentoring and coaching. She has already acted as a mentor to younger female colleagues at the firm in recent years.

In this interview, Andrea talks about her time as a young partner at Freshfields, what she would have liked to have known back then and why it is important not to see mentoring as “tutoring”. Andrea talks about her own experiences, both as a mentor and as a coachee, and gives exciting insights into her everyday professional life – then and now.

This episode is highly recommended to all young listeners. We can learn a lot from Andrea, and not just from a professional point of view.
