Research Center for Intellectual Property
Given the growing importance of intellectual property rights for an innovative and dynamic economy, the research center—founded in 1998 and headed by Prof. Dr. Hoeren, to advance scholarly discourse in the field of intellectual property rights and, at the same time, to serve as an interface between academia and industry. Supported by a friends’ association comprising renowned companies and patent attorneys, the research center therefore addressed all issues related to research and teaching in the fields of patent, trademark, utility model, and design law. The research center, along with the support association, was dissolved on September 16, 2026.
