General information<\/h2>\n

The ITM currently cooperates with 12 European universities, most of which offer outstanding media law courses and are therefore of particular (but not exclusive) interest to students specializing in ITM. In consultation with the Examination Office and in case of doubt with Prof. Hoeren (contact person: Philip Mayer<\/a>), examinations can be credited to the major as an elective or basic subject, provided that equivalent courses are offered abroad in the respective semester (depending on the individual case). When allocating places, preference is given to law students over other subjects and students who wish to stay abroad for 2 semesters over those who only wish to stay for 1 semester (although a stay of 1 semester is perfectly possible at all universities, see below).<\/p>\n

An application is only possible within the framework of the central procedures of the Study Information Center. The deadlines must be observed.
\nAs a rule, the following documents must be submitted:<\/p>\n

1. the cover sheet with details of your desired universities and the desired period<\/strong>
\n2. cover letter with a letter of motivation that refers to each request
\n3. tabular curriculum vitae with photo
\n4. simple copy of the school leaving certificate
\n5. certificate of previous academic achievements (WiLMa printout)
\n6. language certificates\/language certificates confirming your knowledge of the respective language of instruction at your desired universities<\/p>\n

Further information on the formalities of the application can be found on the pages of the International Office and the Faculty<\/a>. A language certificate<\/a> of at least B1 level in the respective language of instruction is required. Some partner universities have different requirements (see overview below). If courses are offered in different languages, proof in one of the languages is sufficient (apart from explicit exceptions).<\/p>\n
