> Law & ICT Shared Virtual Campus

The Institute for Information, Telecommunications and Media Law (ITM) is a partner in the project “Law&ICT Shared Virtual Campus” funded by the Legal Framework for the Information Society Network (LEFIS Network). The project aims to create an online-based program of study which offers the acquisition of various graduation qualifications. It was supervised by the University of Zaragoza.

As part of the project, several online-based courses are offered by the project partners covering different aspects of information and telecommunication law.

In May 2009, a joint conference took place at the ITM in Münster where the project partners presented their results. The ITM developed an English course dealing with “Information Law” which is accessible online since October 2008. Furthermore, the ITM made the German course on Industrial Property Rights (“Gewerblicher Rechtsschutz”) available online since February 2009.

Thanks to the project, students can also access the encompassing research services of the LEFIS digital library. Moreover, the project consolidates the international cooperation between the project partners with regard to student exchange opportunities (e.g. ERASMUS).
