ECODIR

ECODIR stands for Electronic Consumer Dispute Resolution and refers to a project launched by the EU. The prototype of an online dispute resolution service for consumers was to be created within two years. ITM’s partners in this interdisciplinary project were CRID (Centre de Recherches Infomatique et Droit, Namur), CITA (Cellule Interfacultaire de Technology Assessment, Namur), CRDP (Centre de Recherches en Droit Public, Université de Montréal), CECOJI (Centre de Coopération Juridique International, Paris), CITA (Centre de Médiation et d’Arbitrage de Paris), CEDIB (Centro de Estudios de Derecho e Informatica de les Illes Balears, Palma de Mallorca), Globalsign (Belgian certification body) and Prof. E. Katsh (University of Massachussetts at Amherst) and Prof. De Leval (Université de Liège).
